The Little Blue Bird
With a Broken Wing
Book Synopsis
The Little Blue Bird With a Broken Wing tells the story of an injured bird who is caught in a winter storm. The bird pleads with the forest animals to give him shelter. The animals amused by the bird’s pleas, selfishly ignore him and turn him away. Just when the poor bird almost loses hope, a tree comes to his aid and allows the little bird to use its branches as shelter. The bird is grateful for the tree’s help and the tree’s simple act of kindness transforms into a lasting friendship.
The book uses beautiful illustrations and simple language to teach children about the importance of kindness and how everyone, no matter how big, small or seemingly insignificant, can make a difference by helping others. It shows that true happiness and fulfillment can come from helping others, and that a simple act of kindness is a way to show love and care for those around us.
