Homera Zadran, PhD
Homera Zadran is a beloved educator and author with a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, and has dedicated the past eight years to teaching elementary school children. Her commitment to education and creative approach to curriculum development have positioned her as a valuable resource for teachers, parents, and students alike. Currently residing in California, she continues to be a driving force in elementary education, empowering the next generation with knowledge and enthusiasm for learning.
While actively teaching, Homera always found time to write. Her recent work focuses on helping children understand the importance of kindness and helping others. The inspiration for this project struck one summer night in her father’s backyard. Her father recounted a folktale in his native language, Pashtu, and Homera felt compelled to translate the story in English and share it. Months later, she successfully created the first draft of “The Little Bird with a Broken Wing.”
Her recent children’s book not only showcases her dedication to education but also highlights her ability to weave meaningful narratives that resonate with young minds. Homera’s passion for writing extends beyond teaching and curriculum development; she continues to write children’s books, contributing to the literary landscape that inspires and captivates young readers. Currently, she is also working on a series of scary stories designed specifically for children, adding a thrilling dimension to her repertoire of engaging and educational tales.
